As an extension of the established and popular Langage Industrial Estate, Plymouth City Council have now opened up a tranche of additional employment land at the bottom of the estate to be known as Langage South.
The first building built on the estate is 1 Beaumont way and appointed agents Monk & Partners have represented Plymouth City Council in the letting to Devon Duvets.
Comprising a unit of 7000 sq ft Devon Duvets have signed a new 15 year lease and are to relocate their sheep wool duvet manufacturing business into the unit from the Bluewater Estate in Newnham. Prior to their move, the tenants are carrying out further fit out works to the new unit including the installation of a full mezzanine virtually doubling the floorspace. Monk & Partners Director John Slade said “ we let Devon Duvets their previous premises for their first business expansion 8 years ago and we were pleased to have been able to relocate them again to this high spec unit at Langage. The building was identified by the tenants when it was only half completed which is indicative of the highly competitive industrial market we are experiencing at present with units letting pretty much off the drawing board. There are 14 other units of a mix of sizes either under construction or planned at Langage South at present all of which have terms agreed for sales or lettings.
